Welcome to the Lean In Canada website, operated by 8994951 Canada Association (“LIC”, “we”, “us” or “our”). The following terms and conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the LIC website, including any content, functionality, services, offered on or through leanincanada.com as well as any other site, microsite or web pages that we maintain as official sites of LIC (collectively “Site”).

Please read the Terms carefully before you start using the Site. By using the Site, you acknowledge you have read, and agree to be bound by the Terms and LIC’s privacy policy found at leanincanada.com/privacy-policy/ (“Privacy Policy”) incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Site, you acknowledge and agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including, without limitation, the provincial, territorial and federal laws and regulations of Canada. If you do not agree to the Terms, do not access or use the Site.

Notification of Changes

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to change the Terms at any time. Changes to the Terms will be posted to this page and we will indicate at the top of the page the date the Terms were last revised. All changes are effective immediately when we post them. Termination

LIC may terminate the Terms for any reason at any time. LIC reserves the right, without notice and in its sole discretion, to terminate or restrict your use or access to the Site (or any part thereof) for any reason, including, without limitation, that LIC believes you have violated or acted inconsistently with the letter or spirit of the Terms, Privacy Policy or any law or regulation. In the event of termination, otherwise applicable sections of the Terms survive termination.

Intellectual Property

The Site and its entire contents, including but not limited to text, publications, newsletters, blog postings, articles, opinions, graphics, images, software, HTML code, multimedia clips, Java code, design, features and functionality (“Materials”) are protected by Canadian and international intellectual property laws. Unauthorized use of Materials may violate copyright, trademark, trade secret, patent and other intellectual property laws.

These Terms permit you to use the Site for your personal, non-commercial use only. Redistribution, reproduction or republication of any Materials is prohibited, without the express written consent of LIC or the requisite rights holder. If you wish to use any Materials on the Site, please send your request to info@leanincanada.com.

User Contributions

This Site may contain message boards, chat rooms, blogs, personal web pages or profiles, forums, bulletin boards, social media applications and any other interactive features (collectively, “Interactive Services”) that allow users of the Site to post, submit, publish, display or transmit to other users or other persons (“Post”) content or materials (collectively, “User Contributions”) on or through the Site.

Any User Contribution you Post to the Site will be considered non-confidential and non-proprietary. By providing one or more User Contributions to the Site, you grant LIC the right to use, reproduce, modify, perform, display, distribute and otherwise disclose to third parties any such User Contributions for any purpose. License

All trademarks, logos, product and service names, designs, slogans and other marks (collectively, “Marks”) are trademarks of their respective owners. LIC licenses the Lean In name and educational material under a license from Lean In.Org. LIC is a separate, independent organization from Lean In.Org, and Lean In.Org does not control LIC or its activities. You must not use the Lean In name or Marks set out on the Site without the prior written permission of their respective owners.
