Event Roundup: Leadership and Influence – It Starts With You

Our Vancouver Chapter has just wrapped their second event and it was again a full house filled with amazing energy. The event titled “Leadership and Influence – It Starts With You”, took place on June 15th at the Chali-Rosso Gallery in Downtown Vancouver. Despite the heavy downpour and traffic gridlock, the event attracted over 100 attendees to learn about leadership and influence.
Speaker Michelle Ray (michelleray.com) – author, entrepreneur and international speaker, shared her insights on leadership and influence to take control of any situation. To ensure our attendees could refresh their memory after leaving the event, each attendee was given a bookmark with Michelle’s 10 tips on leadership. Michelle’s contagious energy activated the crowd, and the interactive session got attendees talking, mingling, and learning through doing.
It is always encouraging for us to see the tremendous support we receive from the Vancouver community and beyond for the Lean In cause. We had members drive up from the states and also some who took a multi-hour ferry to be with us from the Sunshine Coast. We are also grateful for the men who joined us at the event, taking a courageous step to join in the conversation.
