VANCOUVER: Roundtable: Redefining Yourself as an Immigrant in Canada

Lean In Canada’s Vancouver Chapter welcomes Elena Giorgetti, Hanadi Ibrahim, and Carolina Jimenez Reid to lead the discussion on struggles of redefining oneself as an immigrant in Canada. Elena moved to Canada from Italy, Hanadi immigrated from Syria, and Carolina paved her way from Chile. All three faced immense challenges when they immigrated to Canada until they found different paths to redefine themselves to find employment. The round table discussion aims to provide a safe and open space to Lean In members to discuss the challenges one faces as an immigrant in Canada, what to expect when you move to Canada, and how to overcome these challenges.
