Disclaimer

Lean in Toronto and Lean in Canada Chapter (collectively “LIC”) is operated by 8994951 CANADA ASSOCIATION (the “Corporation”), a not-for-profit corporation governed by the Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act, S.C. 2009, c. 23 (the “Act”), as may be amended, restated or superseded from time to time.

Any use by you of any and all of LIC’s oral, written print or electronic content, including but not limited to blogs, social media platforms and applications, electronic books and journals, and any attendance by you at any event, presentation or program organized, planned, facilitated or presented by LIC or the Corporation whether paid for by you or made available to you and accessed by you for free from LIC or the Corporation (collectively the “Corporation’s Property”), does not grant you any title whatsoever to the Corporation’s Property nor does it provide you with any rights or confer on you any obligations whatsoever, membership or otherwise, to LIC or to the Corporation under the Act. For clarity, any reference to you being a member of LIC or having a membership in LIC set out in any or all of the Corporation’s Property strictly means that you are a participant in the LIC community (a “Community Member”). You are not a legal member of the Corporation as set out in the Act.

The Corporation reserves all of its rights, powers, privileges and discretion to grant memberships to the Corporation in accordance with the Act and its organizational documents, including but not limited to its articles and by-laws. Any use of the terms “member”, “membership” or any derivatives of these terms by LIC or the Corporation on any or all of the Corporation’s Property does not signify, directly or indirectly, that the Corporation has granted you legal membership in the Corporation. As noted above, these references simply mean that you are a Community Member, as this term is defined in the prior paragraph.
