Ryan has been a partner in the Financial Services Assurance group of PwC since 2012. Through his 17 years of experience in Toronto, Ryan has gained a wealth of knowledge of issues affecting businesses in multiple industries, allowing him to bring new ideas to his clients and help solve their complex problems.
Ryan’s clients have included large global banks, private equity and large complex pensions. Through these clients, he has gained deep experience in valuations, transactions and the related accounting and regulatory impacts. Over the years, he has worked with clients regulated by OSFI and IIROC, as well as both OSC and SEC listed clients and has also assisted companies converting to IFRS.
Ryan has held a variety of roles within PwC, including time seconded to the PwC Canada Chairman’s Office, and as a member of the Private Equity and Pension Centre of Excellence teams. Ryan also participated in PwC’s future leaders program, Genesis Park, as one of the top 2-5% of PwC’s highest performing and high potential senior managers in the assurance practice; allowing Ryan to develop a strong and diverse network of relationships throughout PwC to better serve his clients that operate across the globe.
Philanthropy and Volunteer Work
Ryan’s passion for gender equality has him actively involved in PwC’s award-winning Women in Leadership (WiL) Program as a coach and sponsor and as a HeForShe Champion. WiL is an internal career development program focused on providing insights, tools, networks and experiences that facilitate the personal and professional growth of our diverse female talent. HeForShe is UN Women’s movement for gender equality and PwC is a proud founding Impact Champion.
Most recently Ryan has become the Executive Sponsor of PwC’s newly launched Disability, Ability & Wellness Network (DAWN). DAWN is our newest Employee Network Group and raises awareness around physical and learning disabilities, mental health, and other wellness matters.
Outside of PwC, Ryan is highly involved as the Co-Chair for the Centre of Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) Foundation’s Engage program. CAMH Engage is a dynamic group of young professionals focused on strategy and fundraising initiatives in support of the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) Foundation.
